Nuclear Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Nuclear Shielding and Criticality Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MCNP calculations and document results in calculation packages
• Conduct radiation shielding calculations for gammas and neutrons
• Support criticality safety assessments and related engineering tasks

Required Qualifications and Education

• B.S. degree in Nuclear Engineering with 10+ years of experience, M.S. with 6+ years, or Ph.D. with 3+ years
• Strong skills in MCNP and experience with radiation shielding calculations
• Familiarity with variance reduction techniques and MCNP features
• Experience working under NQA-1 quality program is desirable
• Knowledge of programming, particularly in Python, is a plus
