Job Summary

A company is looking for a Nuclear Shielding and Criticality Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

Perform MCNP calculations and document them in calculation packages
Address problems related to shielding, energy deposition, neutron fluence, activation, and criticality
Work effectively in a remote environment while adhering to regulatory guidelines

Required Qualifications and Education

B.S. degree in Nuclear Engineering with 10+ years of experience, M.S. with 6+ years, or Ph.D. with 3+ years
Strong skills in MCNP and experience with radiation shielding calculations
Familiarity with variance reduction techniques and features of MCNP
Experience in an NQA-1 environment is desirable
Programming skills, particularly in Python, are a plus
