Nuclear Engineering Consultant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Code Validation Experiment Design and Scaling Analysis Consultant.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and develop scaling methodology for integral and separate effects testing (IET/SET) in compliance with Regulatory Guide 1.203
• Perform scaling analysis to identify similarities between experiments and the Natrium prototype design
• Mentor engineers in experiment design and scaling analysis, and contribute to test requirements and verification activities

Required Qualifications

• Extensive experience in scaling methodology and analysis under RG 1.203 requirements
• Deep understanding of Nuclear IETs and/or SETs design and operation
• Knowledge of nuclear systems thermal-hydraulics and reactor dynamics
• Experience with nuclear safety analysis software such as RELAP5, TRACE, or equivalent
• Ph.D. in nuclear engineering or related field with at least 5 years of nuclear experience
