Nuclear Engineering Consultant

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Nuclear Engineering Consultant, the role involves leading and supporting instrumentation and controls projects for nuclear power plants, focusing on technical execution, project management, and coordination with various engineering disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Develop digital systems design including PLC, DCS, and networked computer systems
• Prepare control system functional and implementation requirements, ensuring client satisfaction and project execution
• Evaluate vendor bids and interface with vendors to ensure compliance with specifications and witness FAT performance

Required qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering from an ABET accredited program
• 10 or more years of experience in I&C Design Engineering, with at least 5 years in a nuclear facility
• PE license is preferred
• Experience in serving as a client liaison in an engineering role
• Technically knowledgeable of equipment and pre-engineered systems for executing systems design
