Job Summary
Supporting licensing and regulatory work for nuclear materials programs, the full-time Nuclear Licensing Engineer will prepare key submittals, track commitments, and assist with NRC audits, with the flexibility to work remotely or onsite.
Key responsibilities
- Provide regulatory support for preparing safety analysis reports and licensing applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness for NRC submissions
- Evaluate, track, and drive commitments to closure as appropriate
- Conduct independent research and analysis in support of regulatory and technical projects
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Science, or Engineering from an accredited university AND 5+ years of experience in the nuclear industry
- Minimum 4 years of regulatory experience in the nuclear industry
- Strong knowledge of regulations and regulatory processes related to Material Control and Accountability (MCA) and Fundamental Nuclear Material Control Plan (FNMCP)
- Ability to represent clients at NRC and other regulatory agency meetings
- Technical proficiency in understanding general engineering and design within the nuclear industry
