Nuclear Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Nuclear Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design development of reactor core components and structures.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate design solutions by utilizing inputs from Engineering and Project teams
• Develop testing documentation and perform scoping analysis for design options
• Lead design reviews and mentor junior engineers and subcontractors

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years of equipment/component design experience
• Proficiency in 3D CAD, preferably SolidWorks
• Strong background in finite element stress analysis and mechanical analysis methods, preferably using ANSYS
• Familiarity with design codes such as ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section III or VIII is desirable
