Nuclear Mechanical Engineer Manager

Job Summary

Managing a team of professionals, the Nuclear Mechanical Equipment Manager will oversee planning, coordinating, and executing work related to NSSS appurtenance and components while providing remote support with travel, preferably based onsite in Corvallis, OR or Houston, TX.

Key responsibilities

• Lead peer reviews and technical audits to ensure compliance with requirements
• Manage the preparation and review of engineering deliverables such as Design Specifications and Vendor oversight activities
• Provide technical assistance to projects and participate in developing company technical standards

Required qualifications

• B.S. degree in Engineering; professional engineer license and advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
• At least eight years of progressively responsible engineering experience, with lead or managerial experience preferred
• Understanding of engineering concepts for NSSS appurtenance design
• Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary staff and coordinating design interfaces
• Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810
