Job Summary
Leading a team of professionals, the full-time Nuclear Mechanical Equipment Manager will manage technical work related to NSSS appurtenance and components, with remote support available and a preference for onsite presence in Corvallis, OR or Houston, TX.
Key responsibilities
- Lead planning, coordination, and execution of work related to NSSS appurtenance and components
- Manage the preparation and review of engineering deliverables and conduct peer reviews and technical audits
- Provide technical assistance to projects, develop training materials, and evaluate team performance
Required qualifications
- B.S. degree in Engineering; professional engineer license and advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
- At least eight years of progressively responsible engineering experience, with lead or managerial experience preferred
- Strong understanding of engineering concepts for NSSS appurtenance design
- Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating design interfaces
- Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810
