Job Summary
To support a newly developed training department, the contract Nuclear Operations Training Material Developer will create and enhance training programs and materials for licensed and non-licensed operators while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, all in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develops operator training processes, programs, and procedures in compliance with NRC regulations and INPO accreditation criteria
- Creates high-quality training curriculum using the Systematic-Approach-to-Training and revises programs based on plant design changes
- Coordinates with various departments to improve training programs and prepares trainee evaluation materials for diverse training environments
Required qualifications
- Possesses an associate degree in science or engineering
- Has 4 years of commercial nuclear power plant operator training experience
- Holds 2 years of experience as a simulator instructor or equivalent
- Previous SRO/RO license holder or 4+ years of experience with SRO-certification
- Mastery of skills related to licensed operator training programs and working knowledge of plant simulation software
