Nuclear Operations Training Developer

Job Summary

Focusing on the development of operations training programs and materials for a reactor demonstration project, the contract Nuclear Operations Training Developer will work remotely to create and revise training processes, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and prepare trainee evaluations.

Key responsibilities

• Develops and executes operator training processes, programs, and procedures ensuring compliance with NRC regulations and INPO accreditation criteria
• Creates high-quality training curriculum for licensed and non-licensed operators using the Systematic-Approach-to-Training
• Coordinates with various departments and prepares trainee examination materials and evaluations for different training environments

Required qualifications

• Possesses an associate degree in science or engineering
• Has 4 years of commercial nuclear power plant operator training experience
• Holds 2 years of experience as a simulator instructor or equivalent
• Previous SRO/RO license holder or 4+ years of experience with SRO-certification
• Mastery of skills related to licensed operator training programs and working knowledge of plant simulation software
