Job Summary

To support advancements in reactor physics and technology, the full-time remote Nuclear Physics Engineer will lead the technical development and maintenance of analytical methods for evaluating nuclear reactor performance, while also providing user training and interfacing with customers on lattice physics codes.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead the technical development, testing, and regulatory licensing of analytical methods for nuclear reactor performance evaluation
  • Prepare and present technical data to internal and external stakeholders while ensuring compliance with NRC regulations
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the team and communicate effectively with users of the methods
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computational methods, nuclear engineering, or a closely related technical discipline with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of experience, or a Ph.D. with 1 year of experience
  • Proficiency in programming with Fortran and Python
  • Experience in nuclear methods development, neutron transport, and lattice physics
  • Knowledge of nuclear software quality assurance and regulatory frameworks
  • Strong analytical capabilities and a track record of delivering on commitments
