Job Summary
To support the development of advanced nuclear reactor projects, the contract Principal Engineer - Plant Design Integration will work remotely, integrating complex technical activities across design, engineering analysis, licensing, safety, risk, testing, and operations.
Key responsibilities
- Support the development and maintenance of the Reactor Plant architecture and programs across various technical areas
- Provide technical oversight over nuclear design and analysis efforts, applying systems engineering principles
- Facilitate teamwork across multiple engineering disciplines and project organizations through effective communication and coordination
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in nuclear facility design or operation
- Minimum BS degree in nuclear, structural, chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering, or an equivalent license
- Strong understanding of NRC regulations and prior NRC interaction is desirable
- Proven leadership skills in cross-functional design, licensing, safety analysis, and PRA collaboration
- Experience working to quality standards such as ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001
