Job Summary

A company is looking for a Safety Analysis Engineer, Nuclear.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform deterministic safety analysis using RELAP5-3D code for the Natrium sodium fast reactor
  • Analyze design basis accidents (DBAs) and licensing basis events (LBEs) to support reactor licensing with US NRC
  • Develop safety analysis reports, including the Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR), and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Required Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in nuclear safety analysis and reactor system modeling
  • Proficiency with safety analysis software such as RELAP5, TRACE, or similar
  • Degree: B.S. with 10+ years or M.S./Ph.D. with 5-7+ years in nuclear engineering or a relevant field
  • Strong knowledge of nuclear systems thermal-hydraulics and reactor physics
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and under quality assurance programs (NQA-1)
