Job Summary
A company is looking for a Safety Analysis Engineer, Nuclear.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform deterministic safety analysis using RELAP5-3D code for the Natrium sodium fast reactor
- Analyze design basis accidents (DBAs) and licensing basis events (LBEs) to support reactor licensing with US NRC
- Develop safety analysis reports, including the Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR), and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience in nuclear safety analysis and reactor system modeling
- Proficiency with safety analysis software such as RELAP5, TRACE, or similar
- Degree: B.S. with 10+ years or M.S./Ph.D. with 5-7+ years in nuclear engineering or a relevant field
- Strong knowledge of nuclear systems thermal-hydraulics and reactor physics
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and under quality assurance programs (NQA-1)
