Nuclear System Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the RAC System Engineer (Process & I&C) will design nuclear and industrial mechanical, instrumentation, and control systems while establishing design bases and developing system architecture documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and analyze mechanical and control systems, including requirements definition and system drawings
• Develop and maintain design documentation such as Design Basis Documents, P&IDs, and Logic Diagrams
• Support verification and validation activities and manage technical interfaces with suppliers

Required qualifications

• B.S. in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university
• 6+ years of relevant experience for Level 10 or 10+ years for Level 11 with proven mechanical skills
• Demonstrated experience in developing designs of complex structures and multi-discipline integration
• Strong understanding of configuration management principles and design control tools in nuclear applications
• Experience with quality standards such as ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001 is preferred
