Nuclear Vessel Design Engineer

Job Summary

Nuclear Vessel Design Engineer, responsible for creating design solutions for reactor structures and components for advanced nuclear reactors in a contract, remote position.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed design, analysis, and documentation for nuclear vessels and related components
• Develop design specifications and maintain compliance with applicable codes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define design requirements and resolve technical issues

Required Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university
• Minimum of six years of design experience for level 10 or ten years for level 11, with relevant M.S. degree credited as two years of experience
• Experience in design for manufacturability and assembly
• Familiarity with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section III and/or VIII division 2
• Proficiency in CAD software, preferably SolidWorks
