Nurse Practitioner - Newfoundland Licensed

Job Summary

To support a growing virtual urgent care practice, the part-time to full-time Nurse Practitioner - Newfoundland Licensed will assess and diagnose patients using telephone and video technology, prescribe medications, and coordinate treatment plans while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Assess client presentations and determine the urgency of care needed, facilitating referrals as appropriate
• Independently diagnose and prescribe treatments in accordance with professional standards and clinical guidelines
• Communicate findings and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care

Required qualifications:

• Graduation from a Nurse Practitioner program
• Current or willingness to obtain licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador
• Preferred 1 year of recent experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner
• Family All Ages (FAA) certification is required
• Strong computer and technology skills to deliver virtual care effectively
