Nutanix Migration Consultant
Job Summary
To lead the Nutanix migration and associated technical work, the experienced Delivery Consultant - Nutanix Migration will manage the end-to-end execution of migrations, including discovery, planning, and post-migration tasks, on a remote contract basis.
Key responsibilities
- Lead discovery and assessment of the existing vSphere environment, including VM inventory and application dependencies
- Design and document migration wave plans, coordinating cutovers with application owners and executing post-migration validation
- Deploy and operate Nutanix Move, identifying and remediating VMs that are not Move-eligible and producing operational documentation
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of enterprise virtualization experience, with 3+ years hands-on with Nutanix AHV, Prism Element, and Prism Central
- Experience leading at least one VMware-to-Nutanix migration of 500+ VMs using Nutanix Move
- Strong working knowledge of vSphere sufficient to assess and prepare the source environment
- Experience with Nutanix external storage configurations and Fibre Channel or iSCSI SAN connectivity
- Nutanix Certified Professional - Multicloud Infrastructure (NCP-MCI) or higher
