NVP of Agency Underwriting

Job Summary

NVP of Agency Underwriting is a full-time remote position responsible for managing the Agency Underwriting Scenario Team and supporting the SVP of Agency Underwriting with escalations and communication across various departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and complete escalations requiring Second Level Reviews and communicate decisions to the VP of underwriting
• Conduct daily team calls with VPs to discuss escalations and perform weekly spot checks of their reviews
• Manage the Agency Underwriting Scenario Team and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs)

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance; advanced degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in mortgage underwriting, including at least 2 years in management
• Extensive knowledge of risk evaluation and regulatory compliance
• Strong knowledge of FHA, VA, and conventional loan programs
• Proven ability to lead teams and provide constructive feedback
