Job Summary
Supporting a team of Underwriters in the Community Associations department, the hybrid Administrative Assistant Underwriter will serve as the first point of contact for insurance brokers, manage administrative tasks, and assist with the production and servicing of accounts.
Key responsibilities
- Provide administrative support by communicating with internal and external customers on routine matters
- Process endorsements, cancellations, and declinations while assisting Underwriters in responding to brokers
- Triage incoming phone calls and coordinate ongoing service requests from brokers, ensuring timely responses
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Professional customer service experience in an office or call center environment
- Aptitude for computer-based work, including proficiency with Office 365 and relevant software applications
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
- NY Property and Casualty insurance license (12 months preparation time permitted)
