NY Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

To support a growing practice, the remote NY Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide virtual therapy, conduct psychiatric evaluations, and manage medication appointments for college students on a flexible 1099 basis.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct high-quality, culturally competent virtual psychiatric evaluations and medication management appointments
• Engage with patients through a collaboration portal and document clinical encounters for effective care coordination
• Collaborate with campus care teams and supervisors to create longer-term treatment plans and support students

Required qualifications:

• Valid Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) license in NY; multi-state licensure is a plus
• At least 1 year of experience in an outpatient community mental health setting
• Expertise in treating common mental health conditions among college-aged students, including depression and anxiety
• Experience with culturally responsive treatment and diverse patient groups
• Access to a quality video camera and stable internet connection for virtual care
