Obesity Medicine Physician

Job Summary

To support a growing virtual obesity medicine clinic, the fully remote Obesity Medicine Physician will provide direct patient care focused on evidence-based obesity treatment, manage patient charts, and collaborate with advanced practice providers while maintaining flexible scheduling options of 32 to 40 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a clinical setting, focusing on evidence-based obesity treatment and chronic weight management
• Review charts and conduct visits for patients to ensure quality and continuity of care
• Participate in team-based care initiatives and contribute to quality improvement efforts within the obesity medicine program

Required qualifications

• MD or DO degree with valid and current Board Certification in Obesity Medicine by the American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM)
• Active and unrestricted Medical State License in any US State, with eligibility to obtain additional state licenses
• A minimum of 2 years as an attending physician in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Obesity Medicine, or completion of an accredited Fellowship program in Obesity Medicine
• Demonstrated clinical experience in obesity medicine and pharmacotherapy
• Experience providing synchronous patient care in a telehealth setting is preferred
