Observability Consultant
Job Summary
Leading a strategic assessment of enterprise observability environments, the remote contract Observability Consultant will evaluate current practices, identify optimization opportunities, and deliver actionable recommendations for improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Establish project plans, milestones, and communication strategies while leading project kickoff
- Facilitate discovery sessions and workshops with technology leadership and stakeholders to assess current observability strategies
- Deliver executive-level documentation, including assessments, findings, recommendations, and a prioritized roadmap
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Observability
- Proven experience performing enterprise observability assessments or technology consulting engagements
- Strong understanding of observability concepts such as metrics, logs, distributed tracing, and telemetry
- Experience evaluating multiple enterprise monitoring and observability platforms
- Ability to lead technical discovery sessions and present findings to executive stakeholders
