Observability Engineer

Job Summary

Observability Engineer is a full-time, remote position focused on designing and operating observability platforms, including metrics, logging, and alerting systems, to enhance engineering teams' confidence in their systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and operate enterprise-grade observability platforms covering metrics, logs, traces, and events
• Architect and deploy Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog systems for high availability and scale
• Develop standards for service instrumentation and build dashboards and alerts for SLOs and SLIs

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Five or more years of experience in SRE, platform engineering, or observability roles
• Deep hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and a commercial observability platform
• Strong understanding of OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, and structured logging
• Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language such as Go, Python, or Java
