Observability Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time Observability Engineer will design and operate enterprise-grade observability platforms using Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog, working remotely to enhance system monitoring and alerting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and operate observability platforms covering metrics, logs, traces, and events
• Architect and deploy Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog solutions for high availability and scalability
• Define and enforce SLOs and SLIs, building dashboards and alerts to operationalize them

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Five or more years of experience in SRE, platform engineering, or observability roles
• Deep hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and a commercial observability platform like Datadog
• Strong understanding of OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, and structured logging
• Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language such as Go, Python, or Java
