Observability Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time Observability Engineer will design and operate metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting platforms remotely, ensuring high availability and usability across the observability stack.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and operate enterprise-grade observability platforms covering metrics, logs, traces, and synthetic monitoring
• Architect and deploy Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog solutions for scalability and high availability
• Define and enforce SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets, creating dashboards and alerts to operationalize these metrics

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Five or more years of experience in SRE, platform engineering, or observability roles
• Deep hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and a major commercial observability platform like Datadog
• Strong understanding of OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, and structured logging
• Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language such as Go, Python, or Java
