Observability Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking an Observability Engineer with expertise in Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog, the full-time remote position will design and operate observability platforms, ensuring high availability and usability while collaborating with engineering teams to enhance system performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and operate enterprise-grade observability platforms covering metrics, logs, traces, and events
• Architect and deploy Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog solutions for scalability and high availability
• Develop standards for service instrumentation and enforce SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Five or more years of experience in SRE, platform engineering, or observability roles
• Deep hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and a major commercial observability platform like Datadog
• Strong understanding of OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, and structured logging
• Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language such as Go, Python, or Java
