Job Summary
A company is seeking a Part-time Faculty member for their College of Safety and Emergency Services, focusing on Occupational Safety and Health, to work remotely with responsibilities including evening and weekend student engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses within the discipline, including conducting weekly student outreach and facilitating discussion boards
- Provide timely, relevant, and substantive feedback on student submissions through the Blackboard Learning Management System
- Serve as a course content expert for curriculum maintenance and participate in faculty development opportunities
Required Qualifications and Education
- Terminal or master's degree in the teaching discipline or a closely related discipline from an accredited program/college/university
- For undergraduate courses: a minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline or closely related discipline; for graduate courses: the same credit hour requirement applies
- Experience teaching at the college/university level is preferred
- Must provide own equipment including computer, telephone, and a printer with a scanner, and have secure and reliable internet access
- Knowledge of academic processes, clerical procedures, basic computer processes including Microsoft Office, and basic mathematics
