Ohio Licensed Clinical Documentation Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Specialist-Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and ensure the integrity and accuracy of clinical documentation in medical records
• Provide education and consultation to healthcare team members regarding documentation requirements
• Conduct concurrent reviews and communicate discrepancies to physicians to improve documentation quality

Required Qualifications

• Associate/Diploma Degree in Nursing or a degree in Health Information Management with relevant credentials
• Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Ohio or relevant health information certification
• Minimum of 5 years of acute care medical or surgical experience
• Experience in ICD-10 coding conventions and DRG methodology preferred
• Utilization/Case Management experience is a plus
