Job Summary
Working remotely in Ohio, the full-time Ohio Licensed Clinical Documentation Specialist will improve the quality and completeness of clinical documentation by reviewing patient records, assisting providers, and delivering education on documentation improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Review patient records to ensure accuracy in documentation related to severity of illness and services rendered
- Collaborate with providers, coders, and patient care teams to enhance comprehensive patient documentation
- Formulate and respond to documentation clarification requests while providing education to providers on best practices
Required qualifications
- Associate degree in Health Information Management or a related field
- 1-2 years of inpatient coding experience
- Active state licensure as an RN or certifications such as RHIA/RHIT, CCS, CDIP, or CCDS
