Ohio Licensed Clinical Intake Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clinical Intake Specialist to manage patient intake documentation and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review referral packet information and document patient diagnoses in the EMR
• Collaborate with peers and referring providers to resolve documentation issues
• Identify trends in documentation quality and escalate issues to leadership

Required Qualifications:

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Medical Assistant (MA), or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) certification with a current license required
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in the healthcare industry, preferably in home health intake
• Medical coding experience is required
• Knowledge of clinical best practices and HIPAA regulations is required
• Experience with Medicare Home Health documentation requirements preferred
