Ohio Licensed Clinical Intake Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clinical Intake Specialist to manage patient intake documentation and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Review referral packets and document patient diagnoses and clinical summaries in the EMR
• Ensure accuracy with ICD-10 coding and collaborate with peers to resolve documentation issues
• Identify trends in documentation quality and escalate issues to leadership as necessary

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Medical Assistant (MA), or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) certification with a current license required
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in the healthcare industry, preferably in home health intake
• Medical coding experience is required
• Knowledge of clinical best practices, HIPAA regulations, and home health agency guidelines is required
• Experience with ICD-10 coding and Medicare home health documentation requirements is preferred
