Ohio Licensed Clinical Intake Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing home health practice, the full-time Ohio Licensed Clinical Intake Specialist will manage the clinical review and summary of patient documentation during the intake process, ensuring accurate coding and compliance with Medicare requirements while working remotely with equipment provided.

Key responsibilities

• Review referral packet information and document patient diagnoses and clinical summaries in the EMR
• Ensure accuracy with ICD-10 coding guidelines and collaborate with peers to resolve documentation issues
• Identify trends in documentation quality and escalate issues to leadership as necessary

Required qualifications

• Current certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Medical Assistant (MA), or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with an Ohio license preferred
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in the healthcare industry, with home health intake experience highly preferred
• Medical coding experience is required
• Knowledge of clinical best practices, HIPAA regulations, and guidelines governing home health agencies is required
• Experience and proficiency in home health coding, including ICD-10 coding certification, is preferred
