Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time Ohio Licensed Clinical Intake Specialist will manage the clinical review and summary of documentation during the patient intake process, ensuring accurate coding and collaboration with healthcare providers.
Key responsibilities:
- Review referral packet information and document patient diagnoses and clinical summaries in the EMR
- Ensure accuracy with ICD-10 coding guidelines and collaborate with peers to resolve documentation issues
- Identify trends in documentation quality and escalate issues to leadership as necessary
Required qualifications:
- Current certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Medical Assistant (MA), or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with an Ohio license preferred
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in the healthcare industry, with home health intake experience highly preferred
- Medical coding experience is required
- Knowledge of clinical best practices, HIPAA regulations, and guidelines governing home health agencies is essential
- Experience with Medicare Home Health documentation requirements and Face-to-Face (F2F) criteria is preferred
