Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Specialist II who provides training and leadership to junior coding staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides training, mentoring, and leadership to Coding Specialist I employees
• Performs coding functions by reviewing and analyzing patient medical records and assigning appropriate codes
• Conducts reviews of coding and billing errors, making necessary adjustments based on medical documentation

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• AAPC or AHIMA Coding Certification is required
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience preferred
• Experience in CPT and ICD coding is preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office or similar software is required
