Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time Ohio Licensed Commercial Auto Underwriter will perform risk selection and pricing for endorsements, renewals, and new business while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and price endorsements, renewals, and new business according to established guidelines
• Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to information requests
• Manage relationships with assigned brokers and agents, ensuring effective communication of underwriting standards

Required qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Transportation Underwriter in a multi-state and multi-line commercial insurance environment
• Prior experience working remotely from a home office is required
• Strong technical knowledge of P&C underwriting, specifically in Commercial Auto
• Advanced understanding of ISO commercial class codes and CLM rules
• Proven ability to make underwriting and pricing decisions based on program criteria and strategy
