Job Summary
Working remotely on a part-time basis, the Ohio Licensed Donor Procurement Coordinator will facilitate organ recovery and transplant by managing organ offers, coordinating admissions, and ensuring compliance with OPTN/UNOS requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for potential transplant offers from various organ procurement organizations
- Organize and dispatch the procurement team to donor sites while coordinating transportation of organs
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and provide training for organ preservation staff
Required qualifications
- Degree or diploma from an accredited school of Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, or Paramedics
- Certified Procurement Transplant Coordinator (CPTC) by the American Board for Transplant Certification (ABTC) within one year of hire
- One year of experience as an Organ Procurement Coordinator
- Clinical experience in critical care nursing, organ procurement, or transplant
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), Respiratory Therapist, or Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic
