Ohio Licensed Financial Clearance Rep

Job Summary

To support a dynamic healthcare team, the full-time Ohio Licensed Financial Clearance Rep will manage patient eligibility verification, pre-certification processes, and financial assessments while working remotely from Ohio.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitates customer interactions using integrated health information systems to ensure a seamless experience for patients
• Verifies patient insurance coverage and obtains necessary pre-certifications, entering relevant data into patient accounts
• Maintains excellent relationships with medical staff and external partners to gather accurate clinical and financial information for reimbursement

Required qualifications

• Associates degree or higher, or high school diploma/GED with 2+ years of experience in insurance, healthcare, or a related field
• Knowledge of coding, insurance, and billing/reimbursement requirements at the federal, state, and third-party levels
• Proficiency in PC applications, including MS Office and Internet usage
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with high interpersonal skills and maintain confidentiality
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
