Job Summary

To support a dynamic healthcare team, the full-time Ohio Licensed Financial Clearance Rep will manage patient eligibility verification, pre-certification processes, and maintain customer service excellence while working remotely from Ohio.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitates customer interactions using health information systems to ensure a seamless experience for patients
• Verifies patient insurance coverage and financial ability to pay for services, referring to financial counseling when necessary
• Maintains excellent relationships with medical staff and ensures accurate information is provided for billing and reimbursement

Required qualifications

• Associates degree or higher, or high school diploma/GED with 2+ years of experience in insurance, healthcare, or a related field
• Knowledge of coding, insurance, and billing/reimbursement requirements
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in PC applications, including MS Office and Internet
• Ability to handle sensitive situations and establish effective working relationships
