Ohio Licensed Financial Clearance Representative

Job Summary

To support a dynamic healthcare team, the full-time Ohio Licensed Financial Clearance Representative will manage patient eligibility verification, pre-certification processes, and maintain excellent customer service while working remotely from Ohio.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitates customer interactions using health information systems and telephone technology to ensure a seamless experience
• Conducts accurate searches in the EPIC database to assess patients' financial abilities and reduces duplicate records
• Interacts with medical staff and external companies to verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for services

Required qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher, or high school diploma/GED with 2+ years of experience in insurance, healthcare, or a related field
• Knowledge of coding, insurance, and Federal, State, and third-party billing/reimbursement requirements
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent customer service skills
• Experience with PC applications including MS Office and Internet
• Strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations and establish effective working relationships
