Ohio Licensed Infection Preventionist

Job Summary

To support infection control initiatives, the full-time Ohio Licensed Infection Preventionist will manage Infection Prevention and Control activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and reducing hospital-associated infections while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Apply epidemiologic principles to identify target populations and design infection prevention strategies
• Perform surveillance and investigate hospital-associated infections, documenting findings and reporting to management
• Provide education and guidance on infection prevention practices to healthcare providers and the public

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a healthcare-related field (required)
• Certification in Infection Control (CIC) within 3 years (required)
• Completion of advanced education in Infection Prevention at the time of hire (preferred)
• 2 years of experience in direct patient care or a related healthcare field (preferred)
• Experience in infection control/prevention (preferred)
