Job Summary
To support infection control initiatives, the full-time Ohio Licensed Infection Preventionist will manage Infection Prevention and Control activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and reducing hospital-associated infections while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Apply epidemiologic principles to identify target populations and design infection prevention strategies
- Perform surveillance and investigate hospital-associated infections, documenting findings and reporting to management
- Provide education and guidance on infection prevention practices to healthcare providers and the public
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a healthcare-related field (required)
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) within 3 years (required)
- Completion of advanced education in Infection Prevention at the time of hire (preferred)
- 2 years of experience in direct patient care or a related healthcare field (preferred)
- Experience in infection control/prevention (preferred)
