Ohio Licensed Insurance Collections Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare team, the full-time Ohio Licensed Insurance Collections Specialist will manage insurance verifications, authorizations, and patient benefit inquiries while working remotely without weekends or evenings.

Key responsibilities

• Meet production and quality benchmarks for insurance verifications and authorizations
• Maintain a denial and rejection rate of less than 10% by effectively verifying patient benefits
• Manage assigned schedules to ensure timely verification of insurance authorization requirements and patient demographics

Required qualifications

• High School diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• At least 1 year of related experience in insurance collections or healthcare environment
• Knowledge of medical terminology related to insurance financial clearance and billing
• Experience with Ohio insurance payers and obtaining prior authorizations
• Previous remote work experience is preferred
