Ohio Licensed Medical Charge Auditor
Job Summary
To support optimal reimbursement and operational excellence, the full-time Ohio Licensed Medical Charge Auditor will perform detailed concurrent audits, identify charge discrepancies, and collaborate with clinical departments while working remotely with occasional in-person meetings.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct concurrent reviews of hospital bills to identify unbilled, under billed, and over billed items/services
- Submit charge documents to reconcile charges with medical record documentation
- Prepare reports on audit results and process improvement recommendations for management
Required qualifications
- Associate's degree or Diploma in Healthcare, Nursing science, or radiological science/technology
- 3-4 years of clinical experience in Healthcare Nursing or radiologic technology
- Understanding of hospital charging/billing and reimbursement methodologies, including CPT/HCPCS coding
- Strong skills in MS Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Ability to navigate and utilize multiple applications simultaneously
