Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Ohio Licensed Oncology Data Specialist will be responsible for abstracting and submitting cancer tumor registry data for multiple hospitals, ensuring compliance with quality standards and timely case follow-up.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct accurate cancer case ascertainment and coding according to regulatory requirements
- Perform data quality checks to maintain completeness and accuracy of records
- Participate in special projects and meet department productivity standards
Required qualifications
- Associate's Degree preferably in allied health
- 1+ years of cancer registry, medical records, or coding experience preferred
- Excellent knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
- Experience in a large academic medical center or multi-hospital health system preferred
- Oncology Data Specialist certification required within 2 years
