Ohio Licensed Outpatient Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder I - Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate health care services and procedures into standardized codes on outpatient accounts
• Maintain timeliness of coding, billing, and accounts receivable using Epic work quests
• Respond to documentation clarification requests and communicate with providers and coders for accurate patient record documentation

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in HIT/HIM OR High school diploma with AHIMA Coding Basics Program and Coding Assessment and Training Solutions Program certificate
• Must pass internal coding test
• Proficient in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding
• 1 year of outpatient coding experience
• RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CCS-P certification or must obtain within 90 days of hire
