Ohio Licensed Outpatient Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder - Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate health care services and procedures into standardized codes on outpatient accounts
• Maintain timeliness of coding, billing, and accounts receivable using Epic work quests
• Respond to documentation clarification requests and communicate with providers and clinical documentation specialists

Required Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in HIT/HIM, or a high school diploma with specific coding certifications
• Must pass an internal coding test
• Proficient in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding
• 1 year of outpatient coding experience
• RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CCS-P certification required within 90 days of hire
