Job Summary
To support a growing specialty oncology pharmacy, the full-time Pharmacy Benefit Verification Specialist will verify patient insurance benefits, manage authorization requests, and ensure accurate patient documentation while working remotely with active Ohio Pharmacy Technician credentials.
Key responsibilities
- Practices first call resolution to assist healthcare providers and patients with pharmacy inquiries
- Provides timely and accurate responses regarding benefit information to pharmacy operations, providers, and patients
- Performs comprehensive benefits verification and maintains patient profiles in the CPR+ system
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED; previous experience in pharmacy, medical billing, or benefits verification
- Active Pharmacy Technician License/Registration with the Board of Pharmacy
- 1+ years of pharmacy or benefit verification experience
- Knowledge of pharmacy insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance
- Intermediate typing/keyboarding skills and basic math abilities
