Job Summary

To support patient access to life-saving medications, the full-time Ohio Licensed Pharmacy Specialist will manage prior authorization requests and appeals with insurance carriers, collaborating with healthcare professionals and ensuring HIPAA compliance, with the option to work remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Manage prior authorization requests and appeals with insurance carriers
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other departments
• Maintain accurate documentation of authorization details and monitor expiring authorizations

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of pharmacy or prior authorization experience
• Pharmacy Technician License/Registration with the Board of Pharmacy
• Knowledge of pharmacy terminology and insurance claims processes
• Experience with CoverMyMeds
