Job Summary

To support patient access to life-saving medications, the full-time Pharmacy Prior Authorization Specialist will manage prior authorization requests and appeals with insurance carriers while collaborating with healthcare professionals and ensuring HIPAA compliance, with the option to work remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Manage prior authorization requests and appeals with insurance carriers
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other departments
• Maintain accurate documentation of authorization details and monitor expiring authorizations

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of pharmacy or prior authorization experience
• Pharmacy Technician License/Registration with Board of Pharmacy
• Knowledge of pharmacy terminology, insurance claims, and NCPDP claim rejection resolution
• Strong organizational and customer service skills
