Ohio Licensed Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary

To support a growing specialty oncology pharmacy, the full-time Ohio Licensed Pharmacy Technician will investigate and verify patient insurance benefits, manage coordination of benefits, and ensure accurate documentation for prescription orders, with the potential for remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Practice first call resolution to assist healthcare providers and patients with pharmacy needs
• Provide accurate and timely responses to benefit information requests from pharmacy operations, providers, and patients
• Perform full benefits verification for patients, utilizing electronic resources to load insurance information into the system

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, with prior experience in pharmacy, medical billing, or benefits verification
• Pharmacy Technician License/Registration as required by state law
• At least 1 year of pharmacy or benefit verification experience
• Knowledge of pharmacy insurance and benefit verification processes, including Medicare and Medicaid
• Intermediate typing/keyboarding skills and understanding of pharmacy terminology
