Job Summary
To support catastrophe risk modeling efforts, the full-time Ohio Licensed Risk Consultant will engage in data-driven research and analytics, focusing on sourcing, validating, and transforming catastrophe-related data for enhanced business insights in a remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support catastrophe risk research and analytics related to physical property and weather exposure data
- Build and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes for research and modeling use cases
- Utilize tools such as SQL, Python, and R to manage and validate large datasets
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as data science, statistics, or actuarial science
- ACAS level actuary credential required; progress toward FCAS preferred
- Professional experience in P&C pricing or reserving, with a preference for catastrophe modeling experience
- Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python and/or R
- A detail-oriented approach with the ability to investigate data discrepancies
